A Workshop That Treats Your Home with Care
PaipMentari began with a straightforward idea — that home plumbing work should be explained, not just done.

PaipMentari started from a small workshop on Lebuh Pantai in 2018. The founder, Razif Ismail, had spent over a decade working across residential buildings in Penang — older shophouses in Georgetown, newer apartments in Jelutong, and terraced homes throughout Gelugor. What he kept hearing from households was the same complaint: plumbers who came, did something, charged for it, and left without explaining what had actually been fixed or why.
That experience shaped how PaipMentari operates today. Every visit ends with a written summary — not a complex technical document, but a plain description of what was inspected, what work was carried out, and whether anything warrants monitoring in the coming weeks. Households get to keep that paper. It becomes their record of the home's plumbing condition.
Since 2018, the team has handled pipe joint assessments in pre-war buildings where original brass unions were still in service, stubborn drain blockages in high-floor apartments, and full shower system fittings across residential projects. The approach has stayed the same throughout: arrive prepared, do the job properly, and leave the space tidy.
Our Mission
To carry out plumbing work in Malaysian homes in a way that is clear, careful, and leaves the household better informed about their own pipes than before we arrived.

How We Approach Each Job
Written Assessment at Completion
Every visit ends with a paper summary. It covers what was checked, what was done, and any areas worth watching — handed to the household before we leave.
Pipe-Safe Working Methods
Drain clearing and hose replacement are carried out in ways that protect existing pipework. We don't use approaches that risk cracking or stressing aged pipe sections.
Proper Equipment on Every Job
We bring the right tools rather than improvising on site. Powered drain machines, jetting rigs, torque-appropriate fittings, and testing gauges are part of our standard load-out.
Tidy Work Area Handed Back
After fitting or clearing work, the space is tidied before we leave. Wall openings from shower installation are sealed neatly. We don't leave materials behind.
Hot and Cold Line Testing
Shower installations are tested across both temperature settings before sign-off. No system is handed over without confirming the mixer valve performs correctly under working conditions.
Transparent Pricing Before the Visit
Service prices are published on our site. The figure you see is what the job costs. If additional work arises during a visit, it is explained and agreed before it begins.
Plumbing Knowledge Built Around Penang Homes
Penang's residential buildings cover a wide range of construction periods and styles — from the narrow pre-war shophouses of inner Georgetown with their original cast-iron drainage stacks, to the concrete apartment blocks built in the 1980s and 1990s, through to newer landed properties and condominiums on the island's fringes. Each building type presents different plumbing characteristics: pipe diameters, joint types, access constraints, water pressure norms, and common failure points all vary considerably.
PaipMentari's team has worked across this range since 2018. This breadth matters when assessing pipe joints — a union that was fine in a house built in 2010 may behave differently when the same thread standard is applied to older pipework. Similarly, drain clearing approaches need to account for the diameter and material of existing pipes before selecting machine settings or jetting pressure.
Shower system fitting in Malaysian homes also involves considerations that are specific to the local context: water supply pressure varies between floors in high-rise buildings, mixer valves need to be selected and installed to account for this, and the finishing standards around wall openings need to hold up to the humidity conditions typical of the Penang climate.
The written report we leave after each visit is partly practical — a record the household can keep — and partly educational. When a technician notes that a particular hose union is showing early signs of mineral build-up, the household learns something useful about their own home. That kind of knowledge transfers over time and tends to result in fewer avoidable plumbing failures.
