Three Plumbing Solutions, Each Done to a Clear Standard
Pipe joint inspection, drain clearing, and shower system fitting — described in full, priced in advance, and carried out by a qualified technician.
← Back to HomeHow Every Job Is Run
Each job begins with a brief assessment of the specific area — the pipe section, drain, or installation point. This takes a few minutes and shapes how the work is carried out. Drain clearing machine settings, jetting pressure, and installation sequencing are all adjusted based on what the technician observes before starting.
Work is carried out with the household present. If the scope changes — for example, a hose found to be more deteriorated than expected during an inspection — the technician explains this before proceeding. Nothing additional happens without agreement.
At completion, the technician prepares a written summary of what was done. This is handed to the household and becomes their record of the plumbing work carried out during the visit.
Arrive and Assess
Technician inspects the relevant area before any work begins. Equipment settings are selected based on the actual condition observed.
Carry Out the Agreed Work
The service described and priced is completed. Any scope change is discussed with the household before proceeding.
Test and Check
For drain work, flow is confirmed restored. For shower fitting, hot and cold lines are tested. For inspections, tightened unions are checked for hold.
Written Report Handed Over
A summary is prepared and given to the household before the technician leaves. Work area is tidied at the same time.
Pipe Joint & Hose Inspection
A thorough check of visible plumbing joints under sinks, behind toilets, and along washing machine connections. The technician tightens loose unions, replaces aged hoses where needed, and notes any concealed concerns for follow-up. A short report is shared with the household at the end of the visit.
This service is particularly useful for homes that have not had a plumbing check in several years, homes where slow dripping has been noticed under a sink, or properties being prepared for sale or tenancy.
- Joint check: under sinks, toilets, and washing machine connections
- Tightening of loose unions found during inspection
- Hose replacement where deterioration is identified
- Concealed concerns noted in the written report
- Typical duration: 60–90 minutes
Heavy Drain Clearing
For drains that are fully blocked or have been slow over a long period. The technician uses a powered drain machine and, where suitable, water jetting to clear roots and built-up grease. The work focuses on restoring flow without damaging existing piping.
Before selecting jetting pressure, the technician assesses the pipe material and estimated age. This prevents unnecessary stress on older pipework while still achieving an effective clear. After clearing, flow is checked and confirmed before sign-off.
- Powered drain machine for root and grease blockages
- Water jetting where pipe condition allows
- Pressure adjusted per pipe material assessment
- Flow confirmed restored before technician leaves
- Typical duration: 1.5–3 hours depending on blockage
Full Shower System Fitting
Supply line preparation and installation of a complete shower set, including mixer valve, riser, hand-shower, and rainfall head. Wall openings are sealed neatly, water lines tested, and the unit checked across hot and cold settings before sign-off.
The shower set can be supplied by the household or sourced through us. For high-floor apartments where water pressure may differ, the mixer valve is selected and installed accordingly. No system is handed over without a functioning test across both temperature settings.
- Supply line preparation and routing
- Mixer valve, riser, hand-shower, and rainfall head fitted
- Wall openings sealed neatly after fitting
- Hot and cold line sign-off test carried out
- Typical duration: 3–5 hours

Technical Protocols Across All Services
Pipe Material Assessment First
Before drain clearing or any joint work, the technician identifies pipe material and condition. Equipment and pressure settings follow from this, not the other way around.
No Unnecessary Water Exposure
Water supplies are isolated before joint work or hose replacement. Working areas are kept dry during the job. Any spillage from drain work is cleared before we leave.
Manufacturer Specifications Followed
Shower components are installed to the manufacturer's fitting sequence and torque requirements. This protects the product warranty and ensures the installation performs as designed.
Work Area Left Tidy
Offcuts, packaging, and materials are removed. For shower fitting, wall sealant is applied and smoothed before sign-off. The household gets back a tidy space.
Written Report Standard
Every visit includes a completion report. This is not an invoice — it is a description of what was inspected, what was done, and what to watch. It is the household's record, not ours.
Scope Changes Agreed First
If additional work beyond the original scope becomes necessary, the technician explains what was found and the proposed additional step. Approval is confirmed before proceeding.
